Gurukul International Multidisciplinary Research Journal (GIMRJ) follows a transparent and affordable Article Processing Charge (APC) policy. The APC supports the editorial processing, peer review, DOI registration, article production, online publication and maintenance of published articles.
APC Structure
The Article Processing Charge is based on the number of authors listed on the accepted manuscript.

APC Calculation
The APC structure is calculated as follows:
First Author: ₹1,200
Second and each additional author: ₹600 per author
For example:
- 1 author = ₹1,200
- 2 authors = ₹1,800
- 3 authors = ₹2,400
- 4 authors = ₹3,000
- 5 authors = ₹3,600
- 6 authors = ₹4,200
- 7 authors = ₹4,800
- 8 authors = ₹5,400
No Submission Fee
Manuscript submission is FREE.
Authors are not required to pay any fee at the time of manuscript submission.
When is the APC payable?
The APC is payable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
GIMRJ does not require payment before the editorial and peer-review process.
Payment of the APC does not guarantee acceptance or publication of a manuscript.

The APC includes:

- Peer-review processing
- Article processing and publication
- Crossref DOI registration
- Online publication
- Article PDF
- Article landing page
- Article metadata
- Online hosting of the published article
- Publication certificate, where applicable
DOI Charges
DOI registration is included in the APC.
Authors are not required to pay a separate DOI charge.
The DOI assigned to an eligible published article will be displayed on the article page and in the published article.
Payment Policy
GIMRJ follows a “Pay Only After Acceptance” policy.
Authors do not need to pay:
- Submission fee
- Pre-review fee
- Peer-review fee before acceptance
- Separate DOI fee
- Mandatory membership fee
The editorial decision is independent of payment of the APC.
APC Waiver / Discount
Authors who face genuine financial difficulties may contact the Editorial Office to request consideration for a partial or full APC waiver.
Waiver requests should be submitted before making the APC payment.
Requests for fee waivers or discounts do not influence the editorial or peer-review decision.
No Guarantee of Indexing
Payment of the Article Processing Charge does not guarantee indexing in:
- Scopus
- Web of Science
- DOAJ
- Google Scholar
- PubMed
- Any other indexing or abstracting service
Indexing and inclusion decisions are made independently by the respective organizations according to their own evaluation criteria.
Publication Ethics
GIMRJ maintains editorial independence and does not accept manuscripts solely on the basis of payment.
All manuscripts are subject to the journal’s editorial screening and peer-review procedures.
APC payment has no influence on the editorial decision.
Refund Policy
APC payments made after acceptance are generally non-refundable once the publication and DOI registration process has commenced.
If publication cannot proceed due to a reason attributable to GIMRJ, the Editorial Office may review the circumstances and determine an appropriate resolution.
Important Note on Authorship
The number of authors for APC calculation is based on the final author list of the accepted manuscript.
Authors should ensure that all listed authors meet appropriate authorship requirements and have approved the final manuscript before publication.
Any change in the author list after acceptance may require editorial approval.

Transparency Statement

No manuscript is accepted solely because an APC has been paid.
No payment is required for manuscript submission.
