Abstract

The study conclusively demonstrates that AI adoption significantly modernizes public sector bank administration by improving operational efficiency, customer service quality, security, and financial performance. AI-driven automation reduces processing times, lowers manual errors, and streamlines workflows, leading to measurable gains in administrative efficiency. AI-powered customer service innovations such as chatbots enhance satisfaction by offering personalized, fast, and accessible support. Security and fraud prevention benefit from AI’s advanced pattern recognition and real-time monitoring, resulting in fewer incidents and greater trust.

Financially, AI adoption boosts profitability through increased interest income driven by better customer retention and cost savings from automation. While challenges like integration complexity and workforce adaptation exist, the evidence points to AI as a critical catalyst for sustainable growth, improved service delivery, and competitive advantage in public sector banking. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers and executives to optimize AI strategies for future
