Abstract: The education sector stands on the brink of a digital transformation, moving beyond traditional chalkboards and textbooks to embrace the power of technology. As institutions worldwide seek innovative ways to address persistent challenges like resource limitations, diverse learning needs, and administrative burdens, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a game-changer. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the branch of computer science that enables machines to perform tasks requiring human-like intelligence such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making. Several research studies have suggested that AI can effectively be used in education system. Application of AI in education sector offers many advantages such as personalized learning experiences, better evaluation and grading, 24/7 learning, enhanced student engagement, improved accessibility, better learning content creation, global learning opportunities to the students and efficiency in administration in educational Institutions. However, the adoption of AI in education also comes with several challenges and limitations. An attempt is made in the present paper to discuss the probable benefits of AI in education, its challenges and limitations as well as the possible remedies and suggestions for overcoming challenges and limitations of Application of AI in Education.
