Abstract

The 21st century has witnessed unprecedented digital transformation in higher education, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) emerging as one of the most powerful forces driving pedagogical change. Commerce education, which encompasses disciplines like accounting, finance, economics, management, and marketing, is undergoing a paradigm shift due to the integration of AI tools. From intelligent tutoring systems and automated grading platforms to plagiarism detection software, chatbots, simulations, and research assistance tools, AI is reshaping how teachers teach and how students learn.

This paper provides a descriptive analysis of the most widely used AI tools in commerce education, examining their features, applications, advantages, and limitations. The findings suggest that while AI can significantly improve efficiency, personalization, and experiential learning, challenges remain in areas such as equity, bias, data security, faculty preparedness, and academic integrity. The paper concludes by recommending a human-centric and ethically governed integration of AI into commerce education to maximize benefits while mitigating risks.
