Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the capability of machines, particularly computers systems, to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence.AI is widely applied across multiple fields, including industry, government, private sector and scientific research. Developing AI involves designing algorithms that can learn from data and make predictions. John McCarthy, an American computer and cognitive scientist, is recognized as a pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence. He was the first to introduce the term ‘Artificial Intelligence’ in 1956.

The Poultry farming is an important part of the world’s food supply and is rapidly evolving with the use of artificial intelligence. In recent year, the Poultry farming has faced numerous challenges, including rising input costs, disease outbreaks and inconsistent productivity. This paper explores the transformative role of AI in addressing these challenges. It investigates current practices, adoption levels, benefits and barriers to AI implementation in poultry industry in Maharashtra and seeks how Maharashtra government policy assists to farmer to understand the AI in this sector to solve environmental issue, improve the care of animals and make production more efficient.
