Abstract: About the women’s status in society in her popular treatise The Second Sex, Simone de Beauour has declared that that one does not born woman she becomes woman. Shahsi Deshpane proves this maxims and presented the woman in her novels in different role. In each role how is a social construct is point of narrative of her Shahsi Deshpande has always been focusing on. The same is explicated in this paper which dealt with fictions of Deshpane as symbolic representation.
