Abstract – Artificial Intelligence (AI) is bringing revolutionary changes in the functioning of libraries by making their services more efficient, intelligent, and user-friendly. Libraries are no longer just storehouses of books they are evolving into smart knowledge centers through the application of AI technologies. AI helps automate routine library tasks such as cataloging, classification, book circulation, and acquisition. This not only saves time but also reduces human errors. Intelligent search systems powered by AI enable users to retrieve information more accurately by understanding the meaning of their queries rather than just matching keywords. Virtual assistants and chatbots are another major development. They provide 24/7 help to users, answering queries, guiding them to resources, and supporting research activities. AI plays a crucial role in managing digital resources. Tools like Optical Character Recognition (OCR) convert printed materials into searchable digital formats.
