Abstract.        In this study, some eco-friendly polymers were synthesized by treating sorbitol and organic acids like citric acid, oxalic acid, and anhydrides such as pthalic and maleic anhydrides. Some specific linkages are found by FTIR. Polymers molecular weight range was determined by mass spectrometry. Some physicochemical properties like percent solid, viscosity, pH, HLB ratio, and surface tension and acid value were measured. We found that, these newly prepared polymers have a great potential to be used as surfactant in soap and detergents. It is easy to synthesized and cheaper than other commercially available surfactants.

Keywords.      Sorbitol, Polymeric surfactant, Eco-Friendly Powder and Liquid Detergents.
