Abstract
The role of education in shaping individuals and societies is undeniable. As the cornerstone of societal development, education serves as a powerful tool to impart knowledge, skills, and values to students. Teachers, as the primary facilitators of this process, play an essential role in not only imparting academic knowledge but also in shaping the moral, ethical, and social fabric of future generations. In this context, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India envisions an educational system that emphasizes the holistic development of learners, integrating values and ethics into every aspect of learning. This concept note explores the integration of values and ethics in teacher education programs, offering a NEP 2020 perspective on how this can be achieved.
