Abstract: This study examines the several types of cybercrimes that target Indian adolescents on social media platforms, such as financial fraud, identity theft, phishing, online harassment, and cyberbullying. In order to successfully tackle cybercrimes, the article also looks at the underlying causes that make Indian young vulnerable on social media. Finally, it offers suggestions for improving awareness, education, and understanding of new literacies among Indian youth.
