It is said that “we are the creatures of circumstances and circumstances are not creature by us” it means a person’s success, failures, and even personality traits often depend on the circumstances around them. For example, a child in a resource-rich environment develops differently from one in poverty, not by choice but by circumstance.

Environment is very important in our life. It is said that man is child of environment. “Man is an inseparable part of the environment. The existence of both living and non-living things depends on the state of the environment. The quality of the environment has a direct and immediate impact on living beings, whereas its effect on non-living things occurs more slowly.”

Due to increasing population, growing industrialization, and rising pollution, the issue of the environment has taken on a very serious form in the past few decades. The need for environmental awareness is now being felt by nations all over the world, because if the balance of the environment is destroyed, the very existence of living beings on a beautiful planet like Earth will be endangered — a fact that is no longer hidden. The United Nations first organized a global environmental conference in Stockholm in 1972. This conference convinced the world of the importance of the environment. India too participated in this conference, and to fulfill the commitments made there, the central government established an independent Ministry of Environment in 1980.
