Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a transformative force across industries, enabling businesses to achieve efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage. However, its adoption is not without challenges. Ethical concerns such as algorithmic bias, privacy infringement, transparency, accountability, and workforce displacement have raised questions about the responsible use of AI. Moreover, governance frameworks for AI remain underdeveloped, creating risks for business sustainability in terms of compliance, stakeholder trust, and long-term viability. This paper examines the ethical and governance issues associated with AI adoption, highlights their implications for business sustainability, and proposes strategies for responsible AI integration. By analyzing academic literature, industry reports, and real-world case studies, the paper underscores the importance of aligning AI practices with ethical norms and robust governance mechanisms to achieve sustainable growth.
