Abstract
In today’s digital age, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the way knowledge is organized and retrieval is performed. Previously, libraries and information centers relied on manual cataloging and indexing, which was time-consuming and sometimes inaccurate. But now AI-powered tools such as Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Knowledge Graphs help automatically organize, classify, and retrieve knowledge.
AI-based metadata generation and automated indexing are classifying information quickly and accurately, which is more efficient than traditional methods. AI-powered semantic search engines understand user queries and return context-aware search results, which help find accurate and relevant information. In addition, AI-driven recommendation systems provide personalized knowledge suggestions to users based on their interests, which enhances the learning experience.
However, the use of AI is also associated with challenges such as bias, data privacy, and high implementation costs. AI models can sometimes give biased search results or unfair recommendations. Therefore, new developments such as Explainable AI and Block chain can help make knowledge retrieval more transparent, secure, and fair. In the coming times, AI smart libraries and multilingual retrieval can be taken to new heights, which will make knowledge access more inclusive and accessible for all.
